I'm Not Asking for Money

How's that for a different kind of campaign?

For some reason, Brazoria Drainage District Commissioners are partisan races, even though overseeing drainage for the city has NOTHING to do with partisan politics.

That means I'll have a (D) next to my name on the ballot, and I'll be elected in November at the same time as Senators, Representatives and Presidents.  Since people turn out for those races rather than for something as un-sexy (but important) as Drainage District, and since everyone is so polarized by party, that means I'll only win if other Democrats win.

So, if you want to help financially, I'd suggest donating to one of these campaigns:

When you vote, remember to go all the way to the bottom of the ballot - that's where I'll be!
